Getting Started

I recommend Element to get started.

1. Make an account on a server

   1. This is similar to making an email account.
   2. You can use different servers and different interfaces, but everything underneath all talks to each other (just like how email works regardless of if it is from ProtonMail or iCloud)

2. Use a client (such as Element) to access your account on the server

   1. Think of this like an “Outlook” app on your computer. It connects to the server and retrieves messages
